JOHN VAHLE - Soccer/Keeper Trainer

Coach Vahle grew up playing soccer here on Long Island like many of MPR Trainers. Unlike Coach Reilly, Coach Vahle didn't score goals, but prevented them. Also a member of the Golden Eagles with Coach Reilly, John reveled in the same success and in 1993 as the Eagles posted its first National Ranking, District Championship and Final 8 NAIA appearance. It was the Eagles most successful campaign competing against fully funded scholarship schools. Coach Vahle has been training for the past decade and is involved with soccer on many levels both learning and coaching. Coach John has a United Soccer Coaches National Diploma, National "D" license along with some of the highest Keeper licenses and certificates.
Coach Vahle has coached numerous teams across the island including his three girls' teams and now maybe a fourth. A father of four girls who all play at different levels locally and now collegiately. John has an understanding of soccer here on Long Island.
Coach John has also been awarded numerous coaching/volunteer awards for his volunteerism and giving back to the soccer community. Just recently, The Long Island Junior Soccer League honored 29 men and women for their dedication to the sport of soccer and the nearly 60,000 youngsters who play the game on Long Island. The ceremony took place at the organization’s 33rd annual Volunteer Awards Dinner on Friday, March 6th, at the Hilton Huntington Hotel in Melville, NY, and the awards were presented by members of the New York Cosmos. Coach John was on that list.
Coach Vahle has coached all levels from Premiere to Development all the way to the High School Ranks. He has also attended some of the most prestigious coaching clinics continuing his mastery of coaching. John has been teaching here on Long Island for the past 20 years both in the public system as well as a professor at some of our local colleges. John has also been a board member for his local club. Coach John IS Long Island Soccer.
